BIO

Kea & The Rain is the project of singer-songwriter Philipp Körber, who plays his own acoustic, undisguised draft of folk and Americana together with Frithjof Rödel (Northern Lite) and Adrian Kehlbacher (108 Fahrenheit).

In 2020 they got together to record their new album "thousand" in live sessions. What is special about this production is the consistent reduction of the arrangements to the pure sound, so that the character of the songs goes straight to the heart. "For us it's about sharing joie de vivre, passion, friendship and above all the love of making music." (Ph. Körber) In lockdown 2020 it was clear that a more direct variant of the Kea sound should be found: no compromises, no autotune, the music should be without frills. Only with double bass, western guitar, lap steel guitar and of course voice. "We finally wanted to record this music and reduce it to the essentials!" (Ph. Körber)

So the new album "thousand" was recorded by the trio exclusively in live sessions. One room, three men and their instruments - period. "Producing music in this way captures the band's musical vibe most intensely and exudes the magic of the moment." (Ph. Körber)
